My friend Nicole and me on my boat in May 1995. We were on the Hudson River. |
That's me going up in the parachute. Nicole and I went parasailing. Was the first time for both of us and it was definately something I'll never forget. |
I ended up going back to Georgia where Nicole lives and stayed with her and her family for 2 weeks. We stopped at a tattoo parlor in Atlantaand I ended up getting one. |
Here's what I got. |
I moved out to Phoenix, AZ to go to Motorcycle Mechanics Institute in September 1995. |
7 weeks after I moved to AZ, I was on my way home from school when an 80 year old guy cut me off on my motorcycle and changed my life forever! 12:15pm Tuesday, October 24, 1995. You suck ass Roy! |
Here I am about 4 weeks after my Spinal Cord Injury. I had to wear that halo brace for 14 weeks. In this picture I was still extremely weak. I lost 45 pounds in the first month of my injury. Basically all the muscle I exercised for turned to bone! |
Me in the rehab room of Good Samaritan Hospital in Southern Phoenix. My girlfriend Lori (then), my friend Sunni behind me, and Jenny and John to my left. All good people. Miss you all! (except Sunni, she's in NY). |
Me with my first Physical Therapist in AZ... she was awesome! |
One of my favorite nurses... Al. He was definately a good nurse and friend to have. Thanks Al. |
OK, I look like shit here, but if they were unscrewing bolts from your skull, you'd probably look like shit too, haha. Didn't hurt as much as I thought it would, but damn my head was heavy after they took that thing off. |
After I got back to NY, my dad surprized me by having "Welcome Home Dean" flashing on all the signs going across the Newburgh-Beacon bridge on Interstate-84 all night. It was definately something I'll never forget... Thanks dad! |
I had to have some friends over when the weather got nice and I was done with rehab, so here's a shot of my long-time friend John and another friend Tony, don't know where he ever went tho. |
Me with my new car back in 1997. It's a 1998 Mercury Mystique which I'll never ever sell. Believe it or not... This is what it looks like now! |
Here's me and my sister petting my 16 year old dog Champ before he went to the Vet and never came home. He had to be put to sleep:( I'll never forget you Champ, I love ya! You were part of my life since I was only 7 years old! |
Dunno why this picture was taken, but here I am back in 98 before going out somewhere. |
